"Am I Going to Heaven When I Die?"

___ I understand that I am a sinner, guilty of breaking God's perfect law.
I have sinned against the one, true and living God, the Creator. [cf. Romans 3:10, 23]
___ From my heart I have genuinely Repented toward God. (I have turned to the Lord with
a desire to know Him personally and to be able to fellowship with Him and for help for
my lost spiritual condition. I no longer want to live a life dominated by sin. I
want to know God's forgiveness, His mercy, His grace and to be given His gift of eternal
life. I have a changed heart and mind concerning sin and concerning God.) [cf. Luke 13:3, 5; Acts
20:21]
___ I have heard and believed the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
(I believe that Jesus loved me and that He died for my sins, and
that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day, and
that He was seen after His resurrection by many trustworthy
eyewitnesses, and that He is alive. I believe that Jesus willingly
shed His blood, gave His body and His life in payment for my
sins.) [cf. John 3:16, 17; Mark 1:15; Acts 16:30, 31; I Corinthians
15:3-5; Ephesians 5:2; Romans 10:9, 10]
___ I truly believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. My trust and faith is in Him
totally for my salvation and not in my religion, nor in any works that I have done in my body.
(My faith and trust for salvation is Not in any of the following: Not in any church, Not in
baptism, Not in trying to be good, Not in being religious, Not in being benevolent, etc.).

___ I desire to know Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and I am willing to receive Him as
my Saviour. ("Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6)). [cf. John 1:12, 13]
___ I have called upon the name of the Lord in prayer and have
confessed to Him my guilt and have asked Him to forgive me of
my sins and to save my soul. (Your prayer must be your own
words from your own heart, words you really mean, not
something you read or repeat from someone else.) [cf. Luke
18:13, 14; Luke 23:42, 43; Romans 10:13]
___ Jesus is precious to me. I love my Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
[cf. I Peter 2:7; I Corinthians 16:22]

___ I now know that the Lord has saved my soul, that now I have
been born spiritually of God and now I am a child of God. I know
that the Spirit of Christ lives in me. God has given me His gift of
eternal life. (Only You know this for sure.) [cf. Romans 8:9;
II Corinthians 1:22, 13:5; I John 5:12, 13]
-Only those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal
Saviour, being born of God, will go to be with Him in heaven when they die.
The only exceptions are babies, young children under the age of accountability
and those who never develop mentally to the point of being accountable for their sins.
When these die, they also go into heaven. [cf. John 1:12, 13; John 3:3, 7]
A few Helpful Scriptures:
-"Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth:
for I am God, and there is none else" (Isaiah 45:22).
- "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should
not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not
His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that
the world through Him might be saved" (John 3:16, 17).
-"But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is
the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might
have life through His name" (John 20:31).
-The Gospel ('Good News') of Christ is that He loved us all and,
"..that Christ died for our sins according to the
scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose
again the third day according to the scriptures: And
that He was seen .." (I Corinthians 15:3-5).
-Jesus preached, ".. repent ye, and believe the gospel"
(Mark 1:15).
-"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).
-"But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to
become the sons of God, even to them that believe on
His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the
will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God"
(John 1:12, 13).
-"But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love
wherewith He loved us, .. For by grace are ye saved
through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift
of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast"
(Ephesians 2:4, 8, 9).
-"Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks,
repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord
Jesus Christ" (Acts 20:21).
-Jesus said, "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise
perish" (Luke 13:3, 5).
-"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart
man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation. ... For whosoever
shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved"
(Romans 10:9, 10, 13).
-".. the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, ... Neither is
there salvation in any other: for there is none other
name under heaven given among men, whereby we
must be saved" (Acts 4:10, 12).
-"And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath
given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God
for a sweetsmelling savour" (Ephesians 5:2).
-"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
